Clean Eating Banana Bread

Well, hello there world! It has been a hot minute since I’ve had time to chisel out and set on the couch with my laptop for more than 5 minutes! We’ve been trying our best to eat clean, healthy meals here lately, so welcome to the Frakes test kitchen 😉

Banana bread is one of Codymylumberjackhusband’s favorite things, so I set out to make it as healthy as I possibly could. Considering he is digging into the second loaf as we speak, I think we’re doing ok! 😉

Banana Bread:

3 scoops of Itworks vanilla profit protein powder

1/3 cup ground flax seed

1/2 tsp. baking powder

1/4 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. baking soda

1/2 tsp. allspice

1/4 tsp. cinnamon

1/4 tsp. nutmeg

2 bananas

1 tsp. vanilla

1 egg

1 tbsp. honey

2 tsp. coconut oil

Preheat your oven to 325F & grease 2 mini loaf pans. Mix all your dry ingredients together, then add the bananas and smash with a fork until creamy. Add vanilla, egg, honey, & coconut oil. Evenly spread batter into prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes….If you’re me, you’ll let the bread cool…if you’re my husband, you’ll scald your hands on the pan to get it out and throw a square of butter on it…I tried to keep it healthy…I tried…. 😉

For an extra touch, mix some PB fit, honey, and a touch of milk into a glaze and drizzle over the top. Viola!
